The Story Behind Kristin Joy PR
Kristin Joy Public Relations was launched in 2019 by Kristin Loretta after working at the most reputable PR agencies in the business for over a decade. Kristin has consistently executed award-winning public relations campaigns throughout her career.
Kristin Joy led media relations for the Entertainment division at Ketchum, an award-winning PR agency which represents clients such as: Mastercard, Young Living Essential Oils, Frito-Lay, Wendy’s, Nestle, Hyundai, Chase and Pernod Ricard. Whether the client activated through a celebrity spokesperson, a music or film festival, a creative stunt, or a simple photo opp, Kristin walked clients through the process and placed them regularly in publications that mattered most to them and their business objectives.
Kristin kicked off her career in New York City as an intern at Columbia Records while going to school for journalism. After landing a job assisting the head of press at Epic Records after graduation, Kristin quickly became the music company’s rising star as she secured major placements for touring bands on the label such as: The Fray, Tori Amos, Incubus and Augustana. The company moved Kristin to their office in Los Angeles where she handled all west coast TV appearances for the label’s roster and press for the label’s touring acts. In 2009, Kristin left to work at an event PR agency where she handled press for events in Hollywood roughly three nights a week. She joined Ketchum in 2011.
Kristin lives in Calabasas with her husband, twin baby boys, cat and parakeet. When she's not busy mothering and running her business, she gardens and blogs about wellness and motherhood.
